Theater Willy Praml
theatre (since 2011)
Situated since 2000 in an historic industrial building from the 19th century (the “Naxos Hall”) the company founded in 1991 and named after its prime director Willy Praml has been enriching the German stage theatre landscape with its interpretations of plays by the Masters of German Literature and poetry …
Always the rhymes and rhythms of the spoken word in focus, Willy Praml dissects all shallow interpretations of historic subjects into a multi-layered canvas of social actuality, breaking with conventional theatre traditions by often moving the audience in, out and through an acting scene, and making full use of the brutal-yet-beautiful monumentality of the Naxos Hall as one of Europe’s largest indoor theatre stages!
Jakob has collaborated with Willy and his ensemble on numerous occasions since 2011 (Jedermann, Genesis, Walpurgisnacht …), both as musician/composer, live musician, performer, audio-technical specialist and as production advisor.
